Upgrading a MacBook Air HD.

New York City – Apple Store, West 14th Street.

I arrived yesterday in New York City where I will stay for a week. My first visit of this trip in New York NYC was this morning at the Apple Store on 14th Street. I like that store because it is less crowed then the one on 5th Ave.

I needed to go there to exchange my iPhone’s . (Apple has determined that under certain conditions the new ultracompact Apple USB power adapter's metal prongs can break off and remain in a power outlet, creating a risk of electric shock).

Space shuttle Endeavour (STS-126).

The space shuttle Endeavour is getting ready to support its target launch date of Nov. 14. 

This flight will feature important repair work and prepare the International Space Station (ISS). The 15 days flight with its four planned spacewalks will primarily focus on servicing the station. Each Spacewalk will last approximately 6.5 hours.

La NASA prépare le lancement de la navette pour le 14 novembre. 

Ce vol aura pour mission principale d’effectuer d’importants travaux de réparation de la Station spatiale internationale (ISS). Les 15 jours de vol, avec ses quatre sorties dans l’espace seront principalement axés sur le service de la station. Chaque sortie extravéhiculaire durera environ 6,5 heures.

iPhone: Taking a screenshot

I have seen many articles with screenshot of the iPhone. 

Starting an article about my favorite iPhone applications, I needed a tool to do some screenshot of the iPhone. 

Not to long ago, I found in the Camera Roll Library of my iPhone 3G a screenshot. I was wondering how it got there.

J’ai vu dans beaucoup d’articles au sujet de l’iPhone des captures d’écran. 

Commençant à écrire un article sur mes applications préférées de l’iPhone, j’ai besoin d’un outil qui me permettrait de faire des copies d’écran. Il y a quelques jours, j’ai trouvé dans la photothèque de mon iPhone une photo de l’écran. 

Je me suis demandé comment elle était arrivée là. 

Homer Simpson tries to vote for Obama.

In an episode scheduled to be broadcast Nov. 2, two days before the presidential election, Homer Simpson, the dimwitted star of the animated comedy The Simpsons, tries to vote for Sen. Barack Obama.

 

Since Homer is essentuallly a dumb-ass, does that mean that all obama supporters are as well?

Paris Apple Store: Not One But Two.

Apple will open TWO Apple Store in Paris in 2009. 

The first Apple Store will be located at the Carrousel of the Louvre, a very touristy shopping mall that is under this famous museum. This Apple Store will be built in the spaces of the two existing stores Lalique and Résonances (not fare from the Virgin Megastore) and the store will also spread onto the second floor and take over part of the Food Court. 

The second Apple Store will certainly be the mother ship of Paris and maybe of Europe. Since many years Apple wanted to open the first European store in Paris, near the Opera. The first building chosen by Apple was the American Express building on rue Scribe. Unfortunately, city regulations prevented Apple from building that Store which would have modificated the building’s façade. Apple had to give-up the dream that Paris would be the first European capital to accommodate an Apple Store. It was instead London, which had this chance. 

Apple Store Paris : Pas Un Mais Deux.

Apple ouvrira en 2009 non pas UN Apple Store à Paris mais DEUX. 

Le premier devrait être comme prévu au Carrousel du Louvre, le centre commercial construit sous le musée. Cet Apple Store occupera pour partie les actuels magasins Lalique et Résonances (en face du Virgin Megastore) et à l’étage empiétera sur une partie de l’actuel « Food Court ». 

Le deuxième Apple Store sera certainement le magasin phare d’Apple à Paris et peut-être d’Europe. Depuis de nombreuse année Apple voulait ouvrir un magasin près de l’Opéra. Le premier immeuble dans lequel Apple voulait ouvrir son magasin était celui qui accueillait les locaux d’American Express. Malheureusement la Mairie de Paris ne permettait aucun changement de façade. Apple a dû renoncer à ce que Paris soit la première capital européenne à accueillir un Apple Store. C’est Londres qui a eu cette chance. 

End of Summer (Almost).

I’m getting back on tracks as the summer comes to an end.

My summer was quiet exciting and as good as I expected.

June 6th was, for me, the beginning of my summer. My birthday always brings me a lot of joy and happiness. Since I’m a kid at heart,  I secretly feel that this date is very special and the beginning of something new.
